Every morning, before the world becomes busy, I look for a tiny green dot.
It doesn’t speak.
It doesn’t tell a story.
It simply says that someone is there.
For a long time, I thought I was looking for a person.
Then I realized I was looking for something else.
Presence.
Some connections don’t need many words. They grow through small rituals that quietly become part of everyday life. A morning greeting. A shared smile. A message that says nothing more than, “Have a good day.”
Seen from the outside, they may seem insignificant.
Yet they gently weave themselves into the fabric of our lives.
They remind us that belonging is not always built through grand gestures.
Sometimes it is built through constancy.
A tiny green dot.
A smile sent across the distance.
The quiet certainty that, somewhere, someone has begun the day with you in mind.
Perhaps belonging begins long before we notice it.
Perhaps it begins in the smallest moments we choose to repeat.
